Tornado Disaster Relief

Our hearts go out to our community as we begin recovery. Our prayers are with those who have suffered losses and with those who are attempting to help. The City and County have joined together to develop a one-stop disaster relief resource website: If you have no internet access, contact 270.393.4116 for help or you can call us here at the Builders Association at 270.781.3375. Here's a sample of info you can find on If You Have Been Impacted by Damage (Resident or Business) Residents and business owners who have sustained losses in Warren County can begin applying for assistance by registering online at or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 (for deaf or hard-of-hearing Kentuckians) The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice. You can also register with the American Red Cross onsite at their shelter at Jennings Creek Elementary School. To Report Unaddressed Storm Damage: To report unaddressed storm damage or issues, call your Magistrate directly. Use the address search to find your Magistrate–be sure to scroll down the page to find their name–then click the link over their name to find their contact information. IMPORTANT FOR REPAIRS Be sure to use ONLY contractors licensed by our local Contractors Licensing Board. Licensed contractors are required to be insured and the Contractors Licensing Board can help mitigate any issues that you may have with quality, standards, etc. Following a disaster, unscrupulous or fraudulent people will seek to take advantage of the situation. All licensed contractors receive an official certificate on yellow paper with unique license and contractor numbers. To verify their information, search their database at or call 270-781-3135. If a number can’t be verified, it could be invalid. For more information, email Scams Be aware of price gouging and people pretending to be contractors or saying they were sent by a company and they were not. Kentuckians can report price gouging by calling 888-432-9257 or by visiting To see if a contractor is board-certified check: Safety Assume power lines are energized. As utility workers work to restore power and lines are replaced, you may not realize lines are active. Any line, guide wire or pole that is entangled with debris of any kind needs to be handled by a utility worker.
